# Enabling Webhooks

There are two ways to enable webhooks in ChargeOver:

## Enabling webhooks in the user interface

You can enable webhooks directly in the ChargeOver user interface.

1.  Log in to ChargeOver, and click the settings gear/cog in the top right
2.  Choose "Developer" from the left-side navigation menu
3.  Choose "Webhooks"
4.  Enable Webhooks
5.  Click the "New Webhook" button and enter the URL to send webhooks to
6.  Give your webhook a nickname (optional)
7.  Select the desired events to listen for
8.  Click the save button to save the configuration

## Enabling webhooks programatically

If you need your application to automatically subscribe to webhooks, without depending on any human interaction, you can
do that via our [Rest Hooks implementation](https://developer.chargeover.com/apidocs/rest/#resthooks).
